Mix all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Mix the wet ingredients in a jug.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix them using a handheld blender or mixer.

Divide the cake batter into 2x 8" round cake pans and bake.

In the meantime, melt the chocolate chips in heavy cream.

Mix the cream and the melted chocolate until you get a smooth ganache. Let it cool and set slightly.
