HOW TO MAKE MARTABAK MANIS

Sweet. Squishy. Fluffy

A delicious combo of thick fluffy pancake with sweet, creamy, and nutty filling. 

KEY INGREDIENTS

flour, tapioca, sugar, eggs, baking powder, baking soda, water, vanilla extract, butter, sweet condensed milk, peanuts, chocolate sprinkles.

Make the batter by mixing flour, tapioca, sugar, vanilla,  and water.

Make sure the batter is smooth with no lumps.

Cover the bowl and leave the batter to rest for at least 1 hour.

Divide the batter into three equal portions.

Add the mix of baking powder and baking soda into the batter. Fold it quickly.

Pour the batter onto the preheated pan.

Cook the pancake at low heat and keep turning the pan around the heat/ fire.

When the bubbles are about a third of the surface, sprinkle some sugar, and keep cooking with the lid on.

Once the martabak is cooked, take it out of the pan and butter it generously.

Sprinkle some sugar.

Drizzle some condensed milk.

Scatter some chopped roasted peanuts.

Add lots of chocolate sprinkles on the top.

Drizzle some more condensed milk if you like.

Cut the martabak in half.

Butter on each side.

Cut your ready-made martabak manis in small pieces.
