green apples, vanilla extract, self-raising flour, caster sugar, salted butter, and eggs.

Peel, core, and cut apples in small slices. Then soak in water.

Place the flour, sugar, melted butter, and eggs in a mixing bowl.

Beat all the ingredients with a mixer until you get a smooth batter.

Pour half batter into a prepared tin and arrange half of the apple slices on the top.

Layer the rest of the batter and spread the other half of apple slices over the top.

Bake the cake for about 1¼ hour
