Key Ingredients For  Lamb Biryani

Lamb meat, onion, ginger, garlic, Kashmiri red chili powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, black pepper, cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon stick, yogurt, salt, tomatoes, basmati rice, potatoes, oil, and water.


Fry the chopped onion until golden, then add ginger garlic and lamb meat.


 Add all other spices and fry until the meat brown and opaque. 


Add the chopped tomatoes and water. Slow cook until the meat is tender and  some of the liquid evaporates.


Add the potatoes.


Add the yogurt to the meat masala.

Cook the rice until al dente. When the biryani masala has reduced to about one cup of gravy, put the half cooked basmati rice on top of the masala.


Line the inside pan lid with a kitchen towel and put it on the pan. Cook the rice until steam comes out and the rice is fully cooked.
