Raspberry Smoothie:
Raspberry Smoothie
If you’re a smoothie fan and you want a refreshing and delicious berry treat in a glass, try this raspberry smoothie. This is one of my favorite smoothie recipes because not only are raspberries my favorite berries, but this smoothie uses simple ingredients. Chances are, you will already have all the items in your kitchen.

You can make it using either fresh raspberries or frozen ones. So, even if youโre out of the berry season, you still can enjoy this refreshing smoothie using the frozen raspberries.
Just like any smoothie, this recipe is easy to alter according to your liking. For instance, you can swap the banana with a scoop of protein powder, or change the chia seeds with other seeds such as flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, or sunflower seeds.
Why Choose a Raspberry Smoothie?
Why should you make this smoothie? Well, for starters, a raspberry smoothie is a fantastic way to pack a nutritional punch into your day. Raspberries are rich in antioxidants and vitamins, contributing to overall well-being. Plus, the addition of ingredients like Greek yogurt and peanut butter can provide a boost of protein and healthy fat, keeping you feeling full and energized.

This raspberry banana smoothie is also an excellent alternative to a heavy meal or a sugary snack. If you are a person who loves a thick smoothie, try to use frozen raspberries and frozen bananas. The smoothie offers a unique tartness that perfectly balances sweetness. It is delicious and good for you. If you have a leftover smoothie, you can easily put it in the fridge.
Ingredients You’ll Need
To make the best raspberry smoothie, you’ll need a few key ingredients. These include raspberries, a banana, natural yogurt (or Greek yogurt), peanut butter, chia seeds, and fruit juice as a liquid base and extra sweetness.
You can use fresh or frozen fruits. But if you prefer a thick smoothie, frozen berries and a frozen banana will be a better option.
Make sure you use flavorless natural yogurt, and if you like a creamier taste, you can choose Greek yogurt. As for the peanut butter, you can replace it with other nut butter, such as almond butter or hazelnut butter. Add a scoop of protein powder if you want a thicker and creamier smoothie with more protein in it.
Seeds are beneficial for us, so feel free to put your favorite seeds. Though I opted for chia seeds in this recipe, you can always put pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, or flaxseeds instead.
Last but not least, choose your preferred fruit juice. I personally like apple juice as it gives a bit of sweetness in the smoothie and less tang compared to something like orange juice. Another choice that I sometimes use is pomegranate juice or pear juice.
How to Make a Raspberry Smoothie
Itโs not rocket science, really. Just dump every ingredient in the blender and whizz it up for a minute or more until everything is smooth and looks creamy.ย
In a blender, place 1 sliced frozen or fresh banana.

Add in 2 cups (150 grams) of frozen raspberries.

Put ยฝ cup (125 ml) of natural yogurt, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, and 1 tablespoon of chia seeds.

Pour in 1 cup (250 ml) of apple juice and blend it for about a minute or until you get a thick smoothie.ย

If the raspberry smoothie is too thick to your liking, add a splash more juice or water. If it’s too thin, toss in a few more frozen raspberries or a chunk of frozen banana. Give it a taste and adjust the sweetness as needed, though I find the sweetness of the fruits and fruit juice is enough. Pour it into a glass and enjoy.
Top Tip for a Real Smooth Smoothie
Needless to say, high-quality ingredients are a must for any recipe. However, when it comes to making a smoothie, I must say that your equipment, which in this case is a blender, makes a difference to the texture of your smoothie.
Over the years, I have tried several different brands. I notice that the more powerful your blender is, the smoother your smoothie will be. So now I stick to these two blenders: Ninja Bullet for making 1-2 glasses of smoothie, and Ninja Pro blender for a larger portion of smoothie. I also use the latter one to blend soups at times.
Storing and Preparing Smoothies Ahead of Time
Want to enjoy a delicious raspberry smoothie without the morning rush? You totally can! One awesome trick is to prepare smoothie packs with frozen ingredients. Just toss the frozen raspberries and sliced frozen banana into a freezer-safe bag or container. Then, when you’re ready to make this smoothie, simply toss the contents of the pack into your blender, add your liquid base like apple juice, chia seeds, a dollop of yogurt, and a few tablespoons of peanut butter for that creamy texture. Blend until smooth and creamy.

This healthy raspberry smoothie recipe is a time-saver, especially on busy mornings. If you have a leftover smoothie, pour it into popsicle molds for a refreshing treat later. Freezing the ingredients keeps them at their peak freshness, ensuring the best raspberry smoothie every time.
